White House says Kilmar Abrego Garcia will ‘never live’ in US again

The White House has stated that Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a man mistakenly deported to El Salvador, will never be allowed to live in the United States again, despite a court order mandating his return. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt asserted that Abrego Garcia will be immediately deported again if he ever re-enters the U.S. Leavitt criticized Democrats, including Senator Chris Van Hollen, for defending Abrego Garcia, whom she described as an "illegal criminal, foreign terrorist gang member, and apparent woman-beater." She cited alleged reports of domestic violence and a lawful deportation order as reasons for his removal. Despite a federal judge granting him protective status, Abrego Garcia was deported. The Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration must facilitate his return, but the White House maintains it is not their responsibility. Patty Morin, whose daughter Rachel was murdered by an immigrant from El Salvador, also spoke at the briefing, criticizing Van Hollen for not adequately acknowledging her daughter's death while advocating for Abrego Garcia's return.
